Jazz

In Jazz, the movements are big and exaggerated and dancers have the opportunity to express themselves, as the dancers typically convey a character or personality to the audience through their dancing. Jazz dance is always a crowd pleaser and is a form of dancing that is easily enjoyed and understood by an audience. This program will cover a range of program elements including flexibility, strength, coordination, performance quality, and athleticism.

Hip Hop

This class will cover a range of Hip Hop movement styles including funk, street jazz, vogueing, break, popping and locking. Dancers will be introduced to each style and then guided through the process of learning a full combination while encouraging a passion for dance, promoting a healthy life style and fostering fun!

AcroDance

Our AcroDance technique classes are taught by certified instructors following the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus. Each child will work through the building blocks safely, at their own pace towards achieving their acro skills. Students will learn the technique behind performing acrobatics movements safely.

Lyrical

In this creative style, dancers will use the modern movement and style of jazz, while incorporating the strength, control, and graceful movement of ballet. Lyrical dancers take on the role of an actor and tell a story through technique and emotion. When dancing lyrical, emotions and technique go hand in hand.

Broadway

Perfect for future superstars! Musical Theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, acting, and dance. In Musical Theatre, songs are lip-synched, and story and emotion are communicated through music and movement. Students will perform basic choreography taken from jazz, and tap.

This non-competitive program will cover a range of program elements including improv, musicality, and facial expression.
